Asia Pharma Expo-2009 kicks off in Bangladesh's capital
Asia Pharma Expo-2009 kicked off on Thursday in Bangladesh's capital city Dhaka aiming at bringing together world-renowned companies to show their products on one platform.
Secretary general of Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industry (BAPI) Nazmul Hassan told Xinhua on Thursday, "it is an event where all pharma sector insiders from across the world are invited to participate to share knowledge to further promote their position in global market."
BAPI organized the three-day international exposition that showcases everything required for pharma production, Hassan said.
He said more than 400 pharmaceuticals companies from 32 countries including host Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Germany and Switzerland are taking part in the annual exposition to showcase their products and update with the latest available technologies.
Hassan said Asia Pharma Expo exhibitions are the only common platform of the South Asian pharma market for the pharmaceutical-allied suppliers.
Therefore, he said, each Asia Pharma Expo becomes the landmark event and meaningful business meeting for the exhibitors to interact with the entire South Asian pharma community.
Hassan said over 8,000 pharma trade professionals are expected to visit the exposition
